BRASIL – Grupo repatriado de brasileiros em Gaza retorna ao Brasil em mais um voo da operação Voltando em Paz.
A new group of Brazilians and their relatives who lived in Gaza are preparing to return to Brazil on a flight from the “Returning in Peace” operation, carried out by the federal government. A KC-30 aircraft (Airbus A330 200) from the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) took off on Thursday morning (21) towards Cairo International Airport in Egypt.
There is still no information about the number of people who will return to the country. This will be the third repatriation flight of Brazilians in Gaza since the beginning of the Israeli attacks on Palestinian territory in October this year.
The plane left Galeão Air Force Base in Rio de Janeiro at 8:20 am. The forecast is that the flight will arrive around 10:30 pm on Thursday (Brasilia time) in the Egyptian capital. In addition to bringing Brazilians, the plane is carrying six tons of humanitarian aid, including purifiers and voltaic kits provided by the Brazilian government.
The estimate is that the aircraft will arrive in Brazil on the morning of Saturday (23), with a scheduled landing at 8 am (Brasilia time) at the Air Force Base in the federal capital. Since the beginning of the “Returning in Peace” operation, 1,525 people have already been repatriated on 11 flights, with 1,413 from Israel, 80 from Gaza, and 32 from the West Bank (another Palestinian territory).
It is an important initiative to guarantee the safety and return of Brazilian citizens and their families who were in a situation of conflict. The Brazilian government is demonstrating its commitment to supporting and protecting its citizens abroad, as well as providing humanitarian aid to those in need. The operation “Returning in Peace” has shown the capacity and efficiency of the Brazilian Air Force in organizing and carrying out these repatriation and humanitarian missions. The efforts to bring everyone safely back to Brazil are commendable and reflect the government’s responsibility towards its citizens.
